Come Spring the Grampians region turns into an oasis of wildflowers with many colourful flowers including orchids, lilies and other native plants in full bloom.
Halls Gap hosts the Grampians Wildflower Show. Operating for over 70 years, the Show is a major tourist attraction with visitors from all over Australia.
The Wildflower show is held at the Grampians Flora Botanic Gardens, walking distance from Serenity Halls Gap Accommodation.

There’s nothing quite like country racing. The Avoca Cup is one of country Victoria’s largest Spring racing events. Fantastic food, wine and track-side entertainment, it’s a fantastic day out!

Serious Wine Tasting
Many of the wineries in the region host special events such as ‘meet the winemaker’, vertical tastings, blind tastings and everything in between.
The Grampians region is known for its Shiraz and the ‘Seriously Shiraz Wine Festival’ is a weekend of easy drinking and learning about wine.

The Grampians is an amazing region to do a trail run and offers a number of well organised events throughout the year.
However, if you are after something a bit gentler than a full on trail run, the Hamilton parkrun is a five kilometre timed run, walk or jog – everyone runs at their own pace – it is not a race against other runners! The run takes place every Saturday around Lake Hamilton. Entry is free.
Dunkeld hosts the annual ‘3 Peaks Festival’. The popular event boasts market stalls, live music, entertainment and fun activities for the whole family.
The Ararat Golden Gateway Festival is a 9-day community festival that has been running for over 50 years. Like any good country festival, there’s billy cart races, dancing classes, a parade and delicious home made scones. The main attraction is the ‘Gold Dig’ event which has people fossicking at Green Hill Lake where heaps of coins and other treasures are buried around the site. The person who collects the most treasure wins a major prize.
